Sokvis is a founder-led publication written under my name, Gustaf Liedholm, with Sokvis as publisher. I am a curious parent working through research carefully—not an educational professional or an independent scientific review panel.
The question comes first
An article begins with a question that could arise in a real home. The research serves that question; the site is not a “paper of the week” digest.
How I choose and check sources
- I look first for systematic reviews, meta-analyses, primary studies, and authoritative professional guidance that directly address the question.
- I record who and where researchers studied, what they compared, what they actually did, and the limits that matter for families.
- I trace important factual claims back to their sources and avoid turning an association into proof of cause.
- I separate the reported result from interpretation and from my own judgment as a parent.
- I state how confident I think we should be and whether the evidence is actionable in my home.
How an article is structured
The recurring path is: parent question → short answer → what and where researchers studied → methods → findings → limitations and confidence → what I am taking home. Someone who reads only the opening should still leave with something useful; someone who wants the detail can inspect how the conclusion was reached.
Where judgment enters
Research rarely gives a complete instruction for one child. The practical reflections are mine. Sometimes the responsible conclusion is that a result is interesting but does not change anything at home. I label those judgments clearly instead of presenting them as findings.
Personal examples and commercial relationships
Family examples are personal reflections, not evidence. I protect my children’s privacy and do not use their names to make an argument sound stronger.
Any material sponsorship, affiliate relationship, free product, or conflict relevant to an article will be disclosed near the content it affects. Commercial considerations do not change the evidence standard.
AI assistance and human responsibility
AI tools may assist with organizing notes, drafting, editing, or checking consistency. They do not choose what Sokvis believes or remove my responsibility for the final article. I review the wording, claims, citations, limitations, and personal reflections before publication.
What this process does not mean
Sokvis articles have not received independent scientific review unless a specific article explicitly says otherwise. They provide general educational information, not medical, diagnostic, or individual professional advice. The learning product in development has not been scientifically validated.
Corrections and updates
If I find a material factual error, I will correct it promptly and add a dated note when the change affects the meaning or practical conclusion. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a note. Articles may also be updated when stronger evidence becomes available.
